While seeing their season end three weeks earlier than hoped, the 2022 campaign ended with good news for the Grand Canyon University Club Baseball team, who finished with a No. 15 ranking in the final National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) Rawlings Division I Poll. The Lopes inched up two spots from their previous No. 17 ranking in mid-May, which means the Lopes were ranked among the NCBA Top 15 in nine of the 10 national polls in 2022.
 
An earlier-than-expected exit from the 2022 Southern Pacific Regional Tournament sealed the Lopes' fate that they wouldn't finish among the nation's eight best teams, but the Lopes apparently earned enough national respect throughout the campaign to be moved up in the final poll. After all, the Lopes were ranked 7^th or better for eight consecutive weeks during the regular season, won their third straight SoPac South Conference title in late April, and were inevitably aided by the fact that eventual SoPac Regional Champion Cal Poly reached the NCBA World Series Championship Game before losing to national champion Florida State University. The Lopes' D1 team finished the 2022 campaign with a 21-10 overall record.
 
The entire Lopes' Club Baseball program continues to celebrate the accomplishments of its D2 team, who went all the way from unranked midway through the regular season to their first-ever national championship, winning 16 of their final 17 games – including all four of their NCBA D2 World Series games in Butler, Pennsylvania. As a result, the D2 Lopes finished on top of the NCBA D2 Final Poll – also for the first time ever.
