Grand Canyon University Club Sports

Christopher Bey enters his second season as assistant coach of Grand Canyon University Women’s Rugby. Bey brings to the Lopes extensive knowledge of rugby with years of experience as a player, beginning at Agua Fria High School, where Bey was captain and standout player on the school’s rugby team. Bey also played for Arizona Bobcats High School Select Rugby team for three years. Bey went on to play for Arizona State University’s 15’s and 7’s rugby teams, where he helped them earn a third-place title in the USA Rugby Sevens Collegiate National Championships in 2016. Bey currently plays for the Stars Select international traveling team and the Phoenix Rugby Club, where he has taken on yet another captain’s role.

Outside of rugby, Bey is also a real estate agent in the west valley with Realty One Group, and is an active member of the community frequently participating in charity benefit motorcycle rides for Veterans and active duty military families hosted by the Marine Riders El Mirage, AZ.
