Entering his inaugural year on the GCU Bowling coaching staff, Joshua Molloy brings with him one of the more decorated playing résumés in the program’s history.

It was the ripe, young age of 6 that Molloy found his passion for knocking down pins. Six years on the GCU lanes as a player and now a coach later, that passion hasn’t dimmed one bit. Molloy’s credentials go back well before his time as a Lopes, since as a junior bowler, he won 11 Junior Bowlers Tour titles — a testament to the competitive instincts he’d carry into his college career. In five years as a player for the Lopes, Molloy became the program’s only NCBCA Honorable Mention All-American, earned 1st Team CTBCA All-American honors once and 2nd Team CTBCA All-American honors twice. Molloy was also part of history as a member of the Lopes’ 2023-24 squad that reached ITC Nationals.

Off the lanes, Molloy has spent six years working in the bowling industry as a pro shop operator for Virtue Bowling Supply, giving him a technical fluency in the sport that extends well beyond competition.
