On the heels of a very successful 2023 GCU Club & Community Fair event Wednesday night that saw rows of students lining up to find out about their 40-plus sports, GCU Club Sports has announced that they will again be holding Informational Meetings for every sport beginning Thursday, September 7. 11 teams will hold their meetings Thursday afternoon/evening, with one more Friday, and 23 more meetings during GCU's second week of classes for the fall semester.
Â
The meetings will each be 30-60 minutes in length, and each sport will hold one between now and September 19. The purpose of the meetings is to give those that didn't get a chance to attend either the various Welcome Week Club Sports Pop-Up Events last week or Wednesday's GCU Club & Community Fair a comprehensive look at the sport they're interested in.
Â
The meetings are also designed to give those that are already interested more in-depth information about schedules, practices and team philosophies, as well as a way for everyone to sign up for the sport if they wish right at the meeting. Students can meet the coaching staff, selected returning players, and can ask whatever questions they may have.
Â
There is no cost to attend the meetings, and no obligation to sign up for anything during the meeting as well.
Â
Prospective members should locate the sport(s) they are interested in on the chart at the top of this story, find the date, time and location of the meeting next to it, and attend the meeting.
