For the 2nd time in the last three springs, the top teams in the Western Women's Lacrosse League will converge on the Grand Canyon University campus this coming weekend for the 2024 WWLL Playoffs. The top eight teams from Division 1 and the top eight squads from Division 2 will square off beginning Saturday, April 13, working their way until Sunday's championship games for each division. The first games on Saturday will start at 9AM.
The host
Grand Canyon University Women's Lacrosse team is seeded 6
th on the Division 1 side and will commence its tournament play Saturday morning at 11AM against 3
rd-seeded San Diego State University. The game will be held at
Colter Field, and win or lose, the Lopes will finish off Day 1 of the tournament against either 2
nd-seeded Arizona State University or 7
th-seeded Cal Poly at 4PM. In each of the last two years, the Lopes have exceeded expectations by finishing higher than their opening seed,
placing 6th in both the 2022 and 2023 tournaments.
Four different campus fields will be utilized throughout the tournament, with the championship matches set for 1PM at Colter Field and
Grove Fields. Admission to the entire tournament is FREE.
