His Senior Day sendoff gave fans a hint.
Now it's reality.
After referencing World Wrestling Entertainment during pregame festivities before his final college lacrosse game in April,
Grand Canyon University Men's Lacrosse defenseman
Garrett Beck will now get a chance to live his dream after being selected as one of twelve collegiate athletes to join WWE's 2025 "Next In Line" class, a program designed to transition top college athletes into the world of sports entertainment.
Beck, a native of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, played in all 14 games on the Lopes' backline last season, which was his first for the Lopes since 2022. Beck is the only college lacrosse player named to the WWE's list, which includes athletes from universities and colleges across the country from the sports of track and field, basketball, ice hockey, field hockey and football. The list also includes the sons of three wrestlers inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Beck – who graduates this fall from GCU and is the first GCU Club Sports athlete to ever join the pro wrestling circuit – is part of the fifth annual class of college athletes named to the WWE's list.
