With GCU's first week of school set for Tuesday, September 2nd, GCU Club Sports will once again welcome prospective student-athletes back to campus by holding Informational Meetings for every sport beginning Monday, August 25. 24 different club sports teams will hold their meetings beginning Monday (September 1st) of this week, with the rest of the 40+ club sports on the GCU campus will commence their Informational Meetings next week. The last meeting is are scheduled for Thursday, September 18 during GCU's third week of fall classes.
The meetings will each be 30-60 minutes in length, and the purpose of the meetings is to give those that didn't get a chance to either stop by the Club Sports table at the Welcome Week tabling events in the Promenade or the GCU Club & Community Fair last Friday a comprehensive look at the sport they're interested in.
The meetings are also designed to give those that are already interested more in-depth information about schedules, practices and team philosophies, as well as a way for everyone to sign up for the sport if they wish right at the meeting. Students can meet the coaching staff, selected returning players, and can ask whatever questions they may have.
There is no cost to attend the meetings, and no obligation to sign up for anything during the meeting as well.
Prospective members should locate the sport(s) they are interested in on the chart, find the date, time and location of the meeting next to it, and attend the meeting.
